If I am not running...I am RIDING!
On Saturday, January 7th I went Snowboarding at
Keystone Resort (Colorado) and logged in 35,331 Vertical Feet of Riding and earned my Keystone Everest Challenge Pin in the process. I also scooped up 4 Silver Medals for racing on the Keystone
EpicMix Race Course.
By far my favorite run at Keystone is the "Diamond Back" run located on the back side of Dercum Mountain (Elevation 11,640). Diamond Back is a black diamond run that has a very nice steep 1,600 foot vertical drop in elevation. The views from this run are quite beautiful and you can see Breckenridge Resort way off in the distance. The attached video was taken with my GoPro Hero3+ camera as I made my way down the Diamond Back run on my Snowboard. Conditions on the mountain that day were absolutely perfect!
