10 DAYS IN A ROW IS A NEW TRAINING RUN RECORD
No rest for the weary...In order to keep my Personal Training Run Challenge of seeing how many 13.1 Mile Training Runs I can run consecutively, I had to lace up my running shoes early this morning and hit the old dusty Santa Fe Trail once again in Monument, Colorado running to Palmer Lake, Colorado. Even though I finished my 13.1 Mile Training Run "Number 9" last night at 9:00 PM, I hopped back on the Santa Fe Trail at 8:30 AM this morning for another 13.1 Mile jaunt through the wilderness.
It was an absolutely beautiful morning for a run with temperatures in the high 40's, no wind, and a gorgeous Colorado bluebird sky helping me Smile Each Mile® as I made my way down the trail towards Palmer Lake for my record breaking "10th" 13.1 Mile Training Run! No...I did not have any Deer jumping out at me while I was running on the trail this morning or scaring me out of my Saucony running shoes like the tiny little Deer did last night when my headlamp illuminated it's eyes while it was standing only 15 feet away from me. Instead I was blessed to get the opportunity to see a little Coyote come out of the woods and scurry across the trail no more than 25 feet away from me!
Body Check: Because I did not have much time to recover from last night's 13.1 Mile Training Run, I was feeling a little tired and stiff this morning but I quickly shook it off after I started running.
If I want to keep my Personal Training Run Challenge streak alive, tomorrow I will be going on another moonlight stroll down the Santa Fe Trail here in Monument, Colorado!
